Well when you slip in and out of societal critique and interpersonal language, it gives a mixed message. It is a "me and you" conversation when convenient, and a "this group and that group" conversation when convenient.

And so many people were like "well he has a point". I think maybe it needs to get dialed back a bit if even a handful of people have started to think that is acceptable to express in public.

There are policies (housing loans etc) that give negative weight to people for the color of their skin alone
