the key to rocket jumping is just practicing moving your mouse to the right angle for the jump and pressing jump click
you can practice the movement atleast

if you bind jump to scrollwheel ur bad
bind +jump mouse2
I jump with V and shoot with Left Control.
how do you jump and shoot at the same time
and now that i think about if you’re switching between jumping and shooting you have to rearrange your fingers each time
The joke is that I use my right hand on the keyboard - I shoot with my thumb and jump with my pinky. 
I have Left handed FPS advantage - sorry about that.
