Considering dropping out to be a python programmer

What’s the ranking in your mind

I will tell you guys what the actual ranking is but I don’t want to bias other people’s opinions first

  1. God
  2. LichE
  3. Reserved
  4. Me

That didn’t work out well in my phone

Hmm

im completley willing to do some icpc type competition this weekend

it can be us systems programmer types vs the web devs

But I’ve only seen Dan commit things so I really can’t judge.

This weekend’s programmer competition is going to be who can pick the best color palette without using the color neon green

those who believe that linear algebra is required to program vs those who don’t.

I used to go to programming competitions

maybe we could put a decathalon type event together

Drink a lot, go code in the morning. Have idoits in your team that didn’t understand oop. Now I don’t even do oop anymore.

and by we i mean @nmagane and @anon75925521

I would totally be on that team.

Only thing I’ve ever done is like CSAW CTF stuff… I kinda SUCK

not anymore, you’re not.

so I want to know did I come back after all this time to find ewiz in sales?

because that’d be some funny shit.

You’re not a real programmer if all you do is write python code. A real programmer knows how to manage his own memory in C and work directly with machine code in asm.

I would straight up agree with the first part and agree in concept with the second.

Also while needing linear algebra to be employable is questionable, knowing it more generally is definitely a plus not a minus to your ability to write good code.
