Uh yea at some point you need to put work in and get some discipline. If you cant focus on something as well structured as school then i dont see you being disciplined enough to get into programming and actually land jobs.

I think you should not think about things and just do them until your fingers fall off
Want to be python programmer? Go write python until your fingers fall off. Then evaluate whether this was worthwhile and whether you would like to do it again - if you had fingers.
