I do think that Wingi or me would be really good choices. I have never been D1 lynched and I personally haven't seen Wingi D1 lynched.
That said, maybe that would be too obvious from a solve perspective.
Yeah he isn't D1 lynched very often but he's still a polarizing player who has all sorts of shit done to him, not a guy I'd want to convert because I'd know he's a likely target to get docced/jailed

That doesn't make her a good convert pick, she's in the same category as you, she's very likely to get copped/jailed/SK'ed N1.
You'd want a good player who's usually under the radar, which I think matty and kkat are the only ones filling both criteria.

Of course there's also personal bias towards certain players which is why I didn't just copypaste matty/kkat on every player
