Not quite true. Its the banks who are giving you a credit score. This is a good thing because when debt to earnings is too high, debt must be reduced or the amount of money must be increased. Its usually a combination of both You might be confused with the social score from china or wongs
Valve does this to all their games. When the team that makes good games is done with the game they hand it off to the team that adds cosmetics that slowly ruin the game - these eventually take up enough space that the game no longer runs/is no longer recognizable and old players stop coming back
It's kind of like with ■■■ and changing the CSS/category sorting on this website
yeah except dota 2 was pure garbage the day it was put on the steam store with zero cosmetics
i remember playing hon in late 2011 when i got a closed beta key for dota2 and i was in disbelief of how fucking bad it was
They don't have a team that makes the good games and that's not why people quit either
Early Dota 2 was terrible, then it got really good at around late 2013-2015 then went back in the trash after the big "Dota reborn" update. I only got my Beta key at around april 2012 though, I don't know what it was like before that -- but it can't have been better.
This entire issue (map breaking, monsters not dying, player disappearning) has been resolved. It was happening due to an absent minded mix between frame-dependency and time-dependency, exacerbated by the fact that the game had large performance issues (that are also now resolved).
Visual representation of the bug taking place:
Blue wave represents frame cycles, black wave for time cycles. You can see that when the frame frequency dips too low, errors start occurring.
This is a good lesson to learn for anyone, software consumers and developers alike.
And Jones said I'd never figure it out... he was wrong hahaha.
Well done! And thanks for the update
Unfortunately it is still not that clear to me how the bug works and how it was fixed - may be more clear with code samples
Will not be providing any code samples.
The graph I posted explains everything.
Sorry - it's not that clear to me. Need code samples - you can obfuscate the code to protect your IP
Got dateraped by Chris the other night, called me on discord to stack dota
After getting hurricane pike on necro(we won) he immediately terminated the discord call when the game was over exclaiming "Well that's that for me."
I have already fully reverse engineered this game
There are only 14 functions being called in this thing
