This is false. Apparently the reasons felids have 0 aptitude both in FIGHTING and UNARMED combat is due to the result of them being pets of wizards and being 'magical'
I've extracted this information from the DCSS reddit when i asked why this was the case. The Loretranny dictates it that the CATS have 0 APTITUDE in UNARMED COMBAT.
