Not even true, it's only like 60-70% open assets, most of the sprites I modified, many I made myself, but also what do you want? You want me to do the art myself? Or pay 4-5 figures to random online commissions?

Are games using open libraries automatically exempt from being good now? Genuinely baffling opinion coming from "the linux guy".

Also just false - there's 6 levels, only 2 are "crawl" related.

That's a bit ironic coming from you - I think there's more soul/creativity in this game than anything you could ever do, considering 50% of your thoughts are about Joe Biden.

This whole thing has just been a very absurd pot-calling-the-kettle / crabs in a bucket situation.

You have provided really nothing at all here other than crying soyjak "nooooo game bad, muh wikipedia article!". I am very down to Earth and realistic when it comes to the quality of my work, you on the other hand are actually just narcissizing yourself to completion in this thread.

We have both been honest to each other regarding all of these things, but when it comes time to post it publicly you turn 180 into some angry performative Chud.

I would say it's the opposite - I am extremely aware of the quality of my own game and what I can and cannot feasibly change and make better.

Going back to this; that is quite literally what a game like "Peglin" is - and that game was up on steam as a demo for 2 years before it was actually released.

Consider the hypothetical if I had posted something of this quality - the demo for peglin.
Would you have freaked out the same way?
Tell me that putting up an unreleased steam page is "contributing to the downfall of the white race"?

Note that this also fully uses open art assets.

Now, I am not saying that I just aim for Peglin's quality standards and nothing more, but I want you to clarify what your opinions/standards actually are here, because they honestly seem very arbitrary.

Not sure how to kill the hydra. But I did it.
The heads kept coming back.
But eventually they all died.

The real Peggle is a fun game.
The music was great too.

The steam demo is going up a week or two before full release - when there's a final demo ready.
If I was going to continually update builds on Steam I might as well release it as "Early Access" which I'm against.

I just beat the game. Well done. I like the "figure out the mechanics as you go/mechanics are intuitive/game teaches you" style

Doublesword just seems like a downgrade instead of an upgrade

Hydra mechanic is each time you destroy a hydra tile, it grows another head

So how do destroy the heads?

When the steam game goes up I would like to see funny achievements added

Such as: Defeat a hydra after allowing it to grow 9 or more heads at once (not sure if 6 or whatever it started with is the cap right now but you should allow user to increase the number past what it spawns with, then give an achievement for defeating the "harder" one)
