Fight the monster same as every other fight in the game (match the tiles for its hearts)
If you destroy head tiles from the board, it grows another head. So try to avoid matching those ones. You do match a few when fighting it but have to avoid to finally kill it
No - there's the display on the right with the monster, it shows its HP (colored hearts). This part is exactly the same as elsewhere in the game. Match the colors to destroy the hearts, destroy the right combo of colors to destroy the head
But there are also special tiles he puts in the board shaped like a hydra head. Several enemies have special tile mechanics, where instead of a normal tile you'll see a green tile (for example) with a custom shape. Those usually have custom mechanics.
The custom mechanic in this case is that destroying one of those special tiles from the board makes it grow another head.
Ah I see. I was killing those tiles first because I thought they would cauterize the neck, like in the book.
Was that in the Iliad or in the Odyssey? I can't remember.
I think probably you were confused on what was happening because the hydra couldn't grow more than X heads (whatever # it started with). but if that change I suggested is made, it will be more clear that killing the tile actually adds a head
In my case I also saw the tiles and thought at first you were supposed to kill them. This is actually an advanced trick in game design called subverting expectations
I did the first heart to the head in the standard way, but did the second one with a combo that included a combo that had a dragon head in the second. My bad.
I don't have one up right now, it was very outdated anyway.
No plans for an "official" android release either currently - currently focused on getting the Steam release done.
@Vanilla_Town Some of the chest rewards are great, but some are worse than nothing.
I would like a choice of "choose none" option if I don't want any of the chest offerings.
