We shall see. There is more to adventuring than splitting skulls.
I suggest we move forward, with two fighters in front, and two in the rear in case of an ambush.

We have to go on further.
I agree. You seem like a fine fellow, Kato. Want to join up with Me, Mukk, Brendan and Ted’s little subgroup here?
Gladly sir.
There is no need for such fancy honorifics here, my dear friend. We are all equals here!
The gravel road leads to a set of buildings, its tall structures dark as tombstones.
A soft whimpering draws your eye toward a pair of children standing in the middle of an otherwise lifeless street.
Trailyn, while mostly standing silent and taking in the action of the group, looks towards the children with distrust.
“Who would leave children out in an area like this? Something feels off.”
Trailyn begins to look around and see if he is able to track or pick up on anything that feels off about these two children. He takes a pinch of dirt off of the ground and gives it a quick taste before letting the rest fall from his fingertips.
Ted is taken aback by the sight.
“Small creatures, state your business here!” he yells out to them.
@Trailyn @Ted
After shushing the boy, the girl turns to you and says,
“There’s a monster in our house!”
She then points to a tall brick house that has seen better days. Its windows are dark. It has a gated portico on the ground floor, and the rusty gate is slightly ajar. The buildings nearby are abandoned, their windows and doors boarded up.
A monster? Let’s get the hell out of here!
@Roragok
I would begin to analyze the outside of the house, any tracks in the surrounding ground, or marks on the door/door frame. Trying to gain an insight into what may be inside.
Insight - 1(+4) = 5
I agree. We should stay back and let Mukk handle this. I’m not dying today,
Ted points his staff at the boy.
“Do not shush him! I want to hear what he has to say.”
Are you deaf, Ted!? He just told us there were monsters in that house! Lets get the hell out of here…
Whispering “The girl told us that! Didn’t you see her shush the boy?? They might be in on it!”
“Please, let us look into this monstrosity further. I would much rather catch it by surprise and rid it of this world than it finds us in our sleep and attack us.”
Ted asks the rest of his party. “Does anyone have tinders and flint? We should simply burn this house down from the get go.”
“I feel burning the house down is a little unwarranted without further information.”
I look towards the children with sympathetic eyes…
“Do you know what sort of creature is in your house? Is anyone else inside?”
“Get out of the way, boys” AA proclaims loudly
AA casts Charm Person on the Little Boy
“Now, what were you about to say”?
