Thorn grips his sisters dress a bit tighter.

The children appear scared. You don't sense anything amiss or hidden in their words or actions.
@Dosha @Trailyn
As you circle around the building. Its much larger then you assumed it to be. The building has multiple chimney's and is four stories. Balconies on the front and rear of the house at the third level. Peering into the back windows you see a unlit dining room. In the front was an unlit den.

Rose speaks up,
Our parents are in the basement. They went to try to deal with the monster.
Just our Family lives here and the maid. These other buildings used to be for our servants, but Papa says we don't have many anymore.
The boy still timidly hides behind his sister. He does not outstretch his hand towards @Ted
Brendan also peers through the window.
Its hard to see the entire room without moving inside, but you can make out a table and four chairs. There are drapes on the inside of the windows.
Mukk, seeming satisfied, tries to enter through the door
Ted looks frustrated.
“Alright then. Girl, hold out your hand please. It will help me to kill the monster and save your parents, ok?”
Wait! Maybe we should stay outside. Somebody needs to guard the door.
No! Mukk is our strongest person physically. Should we have any hopes of defeating this monster, we’ll have to bring him along. If you’re too scared to come, he can leave you lying about outside.
Brendan looks at you with great suspicion.
Well, Rose and thorn, fade begins in a reassuring tone we’ll see if we can help your family.
turning back to the building and peering at the members of the group she takes a deep breath
Welp, now’s as good a time as any. I don’t think more noise is going to change anything … let’s get on with it.
fade retrieves her lute from her backpack and begins to play inspiring music… @Roragok
AA picks up his bagpipes and compliments Fade’s music
Dances like a leprechaun

Let’s find the way downstairs and try to aid the childrens parents.
Ted grabs the little girl’s arm and, in one swift motion, attempts to make a small cut on the finger with his dagger. He does this to test if the children are human.
