okay so
whos active in the thread rn i'd kinda like to talk through things with someone rather than just make a big post of my thoughts.
im kinda here but my worldview is tentative until i get more time to reread d1 later tonight
so on the topic of the Vigi Claim:
i could see it being either way. i don't think this is as remotely clear cut as most PR claims are. I think its suspicious how:
- he claimed when soft pressured but before his back was against the wall. He had two lynches on him, but a lot of people susing him out. this is weird to me. I feel like if you were genuinely holding it, you'd pull out that card when you were actually at risk of getting lynched not when it just looks like town is gonna jump at you. i could be wrong about this tho
- his back and forth with nyte realllly made him seem scummy to me. before reading that interaction (upon initially reading his claim) i 100% believed him. Kinda sounded to me like butthurt mafia who was upset that someone saw through his big dick plan of claiming vig after killing the vig day one.
however for him to be fake claiming vig it assumes that he (either as the sk or mafia) correctly shot the vig last night, which is somewhat unlikely. There is no counterclaim, so if he is lying we are making a couple of other assumptions. basically if we assume hes fake claiming here we are saying 'the way more arbitrary and unlikely explanation is what happened' which never sits right with me.
my gut tells me hes fake claiming but my brain says its more likely to be real.
speaking of my gut, everything lucky artist has posted screams scum to me i think hes the lynch today.
he had a huge 'look at me i did work im town guys' post at the start of the day, then didn't engage with the conversation for a while, and then comes hard at nyte for grilling supa. i think its really unlikely nyte is mafia here even if she is wrong about supa. there would be no reason (that i can see) that nyte would fight back against the claim like that if she were the last remaining mafia member. puts a huge target on her back.
