Can I sue you for giving financial advice?
I'm a licensed financial advisor.
You might like it because of the intensity but it's not for everyone
Good advice I've heard is to pretend you are one and make/record 'fake' trades to see if you're on the right path
that or just do it in small increments
Im just wondering how much training/learning is needed to be decent at it.
I used to watch satoshi stacker videos on youtube. They were decent
Coin bureau videos are good if you want to actually learn about crypto
Gonna write this 20k less off on my taxes. Not a big deal
The problem is that the ecosystem changes so quickly it requires you to keep up to date rather than getting one dump of information
Yeah but it's a much more realistic evaluation to say you have so and so fund pool, how would you invest it. Doing those small trades only key you in green/red wise and doesn't help you develop a sense of how much to wager
SWIM struggled in it and ultimately left to pursue a career like yours. I think your success is highly dependent on your understanding of the markets you're trading within. You might do well trading in pharma, hardware, software shit and struggle elsewhere. You'd regularly look at relevant outlets and have to develop good DYOR/DD habits
My prediction is that like yns said hobby trading is hitting the mainstream and with that there will be a lot of good comprehensive resources to learn from in the near future if they aren't out there already. You can maybe wait for that
lol i freaking consolidated all my stocks 2 days ago, sold all my bitcoin and put it all into ETH
Yeah I mean I'm definitely going to do the responsible thing in the future 80% stocks 20% crypto
The 5 eth I have right now are ride or die though
I've still got a 4k emergency fund and 2k in the bank for bills so it's like whatever
I'm only crying over few hundred dollars here lol don't mind me
I am more or less mad for doing dumb shit that I knew better not to do but sometimes in life you got to make mistakes to learn
I ll just take it easy and start with 1k, i ll have a diverse portfolio blah blah blah 2 weeks later 2.5k in robinhood.
stocks are boring lets YOLO on ETH its going to 10k!
boom Eth crashes same day hahahahahaha
my problem is im so used to losing and winning in poker playing 2-5NL or 10-10NL that thousand dollar swings are a norm, i just hate doing dumb shit
“Learn how to day trade”
Homie you buy it when it goes down then sell it when it goes up like anything else the only difference is you look at a fucking chart all day, trade on margin, and go for smaller gains but make multiple trades
