Yeah they're all just doing what they can to sell out asap otherwise the price will crash much worse

I have a friend of a friend who has a BAYC I’ll try and ask him what value he’s got from it beyond the fluctuation of value

Idiots with millions, what you want to do with that is up to you but ultimately if you were there for the right reasons, talking to the right people and whatnot, you can get business or whatever that will make more than say 30k lost from the pass going from 250k to 220k.

And for those whoa rent interested in directly helping they know plenty who are, this is networking. YMMV but if you own you own

Well they start minting but don’t reveal for a day but you can sell and trade these unrevealed NFTs, then each NFT having different traits some far rarer than others that can change the price massively

Yeah that's purposeful so the secondary market can be established as soon as possible

Gambling lol

Is it stupid yes is it to secure financials of the project yes but none of it is quite as scammy as the idea that they're giving people a roadmap and telling them they're going to support this arbitrary community forever

Do you sell for the floor price before mint or risk it to get a rare one, as the floor price will likely drop after all NFTs reveal

Yeah you can say it's a gambling market but investors are more often gamblers than not it's irrelevant

I like the idea of virtual artwork as art already inherently has no value and if you go to art shows and see what artists are selling nowadays for 50k+ NFTs suddenly seem a lot more reasonable

But yes community roadmaps and shit are a form of grifting

Rhis is why insider info reigns but that stuff isn't as significant as the fact that they need second market establishment when they are unaffiliated with the market host and that this operates as marketing opp for these NFTs, which are all they are -- marketing

Yes most of the budgets of these NFT projects goes into marketing

Yeah total agreement again most of the FUD and shit ideas come from ignorant people who don't know shit like that about the art market or like think that everything is literally a grift

I mean that's all they are in terms of if they're functionless and inherently woethless that's the only real metric for worth

A smart person could've bought into BAYC before the stars did if they noticed how above and beyond their marketing was compared to any other projevt before it

Weren’t they just one of the first like crypto punks and shit

they were an earlier one but the real reason why they were a success was because they were the first to push the idea of a roadmap for an NFT and did a lot of real world proofs like ape fest and the stuff that came before it

there were a ton of other projects that launched around the same time but none of them were more than for fun/planless and didnt push forward 'community building' stuff like exclusive discord access to owners. BAYC is still a first mover in many rights and its why they are so big

and of course they still are first movers given that they're the only NFT that has been widely marketed and pushed by "elites"
