fuck the police general

Ah, but the Supreme Court has ruled that law enforcement is allowed to do these things. What legal reform do you propose?

i think under his model the business owners are only "hurt" insofar as their property is destroyed. but private ownership of property shouldnt exist, so from that perspective they are not actually hurt because the basis of how you are counting value is flawed.

Trying to make it to 1000 posts in this thread for the day. 1h left

@Gamut by the way what do you think of the idea that the State should have a monopoly on the legitimate use of violence except in the case of self-defense?

Stop fucking lying, I explicitly never advocated burning down the houses

Now, tell me how that violence is in any way close to the magnitude of the violence against the subaltern which is being completely excluded from political and economic power. How's it proportional to the police being able to murder with impunity? How's it proportional to the horrors of extreme poverty inflicted on them? What about the mass incarceration?

No. There is a qualitative difference between violence against property and violence against a person

The entire theoretical discussion is pointless and we've been led into the weeds

The original point is that there are violent actions happening right now - burning down courthouses; throwing projectiles/explosives at and advocating for slaying of cops; violent attack, doxxing, threats on dissenters (and applause of their suffering) such as andy ngo, JBP; looting, destruction, extortion of businesses

People (Ewiz, Nyte, LBJ, Gamut, Murs) are supporting these actions in this thread - either explicitly or through some glib irony or through arguing with me when I say this stuff is wrong - and that's what the discussion is about.

Sitting here talking about "did he advocate for burning rich people's houses" is pointless when those things are happening right now and they're being supported by these people.

personally i have similar sentiments to you but i guess they would be saying the magnitude of injustice against black people far dwarfs that so its no big deal in the big picture. may or may not be true. also depends if burning down the marginal house helps black people (no comment)

at least right now i dont believe there is actually enough violence to be scared about it. but i agree with your perspective against the tacit or explicit support of violence at least sentimentally.

Jdance can you go back and find the many posts where he advocated burning down houses. I know you're just sitting there dingling the danglies to this

  1. The discussion of people running through berkeley hills, the anti-semitism discussion where a Jewish paper says it was anti-semitic violence and he says no, it was anti-rich violence and justified

  2. The discussion of which actions to take, which starts with him talking about burning down houses if a person meets a threshold for as rich/landlord

Lol

Self-defense. Watch the livestreams.

Let's see some sources. Andy Ngo doxxed protesters, so that one is proportional at least

Lol

Yeah, I don't give a shit about that. Destruction of some rich asshole's property doesn't fucking matter in the face of the brutal oppression

Justified is not the same as advocating. And it wasn't anti-Semitic: do you care to respond to the ADL's research saying that was fake?

Justifying is the same as advocating. You're defending/justifying/encouraging the action

Burn down houses used to generate wealth. Don't burn down homes. Fuck the landlords

Lol. It's saying "fuck the rich, there's no reason to care when their house is burnt down." It's not saying "burn down the houses of the rich."

Here's the example of otherizing and advocating violence. It's like you just walk right into it

i wonder what would happen if a mob of people got motivated to burn down the white house or die trying.

i hope they would physically erect a wall or something :trumpapproves:

i dont think you can let them burn down the white house. that just sounds wrong. but a bloodbath is also not good.

well, i hope people do not get so mad that they are willing to push the issue on that.

Ah, yeah, saying this completely excluded them from economic and political power and makes them the target of mass incarceration. You're a moron and arguing in bad faith. Trash

How do you know he's/she's/they and their family are assholes? How do you know your violence is justified?

Oh, it's because you assigned a label to them which allowed you to dehumanize them and view them as enemies/Others.
