The conversion comes through critique of existing structures. Once people realize that no meaningful change can come under societal structures, they abandon reformism. It's much easier to explain that than it is to explain an alternate world
suppose we dismantle capital. but people prefer more stuff to less stuff, so in any case where the existence of capital is more efficient than the nonexistence of capital, there will be an incentive for people to invent capital. and it seems like capital is rather good at accumulating. so ur system would have to make sure there is no circumstances where there can be more stuff to go around when there is capital.
kind of on a similar note, if there is no central state with a monopoly on violence, what prevents me and some buddies getting together and making a little feudal state and conquering other people with the intent of acquiring more stuff? or, more innocuously, what if me and my buddies are afraid of being shot/drone striked and decide to entrust our guns/drones to a central bureaucracy? then the central bureaucracy runs around conquering other people with the intent of acquiring more stuff.
basically im saying these dont sound like stable endgames. id like to know if theres a way to make them in fact stable.
The people supporting the destruction of capitalism must be certainly living with their eyes closed if they think they would live in a happier & more fair society without it

well, suppose some people think its a shame that black people are getting shot. but you tell them that black people wont stop getting shot until we dismantle capitalism. i think most people will think this is way too scary and i guess theres nothing we can do, because they prefer their current lifestyle to the scary communist one and dont care enough about black people, unless you present them with an easy to understand alternate communist world.
in this case u need to get the normies/proletariat poor/mad enough at the system to literally rise up because they would prefer any alternative to the capitalist one. but surely you understand the Establishment, if it exists, will make sure to hand out enough carrots that there isnt a sufficient critical mass of people willing to risk what they have in order to enact "meaningful reform" under your terms.
i have a pet theory that all overgrown countries with governments that manage too large and diverse a populace tend to start having this problem more than others
so yeah the u.s. going in that direction would fit that theory
