the whole magnitude with today's situation compared to slavery compared to military war compared to tiananmen 1989 to massacres in burma is all completely different. its like comparing 1000 to 10000 to 100000. but human brains are terrible at comprehending scale and get stuck on the anecdotes.
i think trying to fit modern american politics into "violent revolution" is a scale problem. its actually not that bad, as much as it is unclassy to admit it.
which is not to say it should not be changed its to say that it will not be changed through violent revolution because violent revolution will not happen. and also i dont think its worth it for it to happen, but thats like, my opinion, man.
I believe the way social media is designed to show you only content that you want to see/agrees with you, push lowest-common-denominator content to the top, and actually suppress thoughtful & nuanced conversation is poisoning society
