[GAME] Theatrical Performance Day 2

you mean the consideration in general isnt natural?

can you spell out whats not natural im not getting it

This game reminds me of one on the old site where Ewiz was scum. He had his eyes set on me (I barely survived in a tie) even when the game unfolded as it did. I was able to survive and turn the game on him the next day. Ewiz is actually a pretty decent player so there’s a 0% chance he’d still scumread me after what has happened.

The whole reason that there’s such a strong scum vibe from klaze is predicated on the fact that Benny is town

you dont think scum benny ever outs a partner like that?

i mean most players consider it bad to bus a partner like that that early in the game but i dont know anything about how benny plays to rule it out

I don’t think klaze would’ve responded like he did at all if it was a bus

i will reiterate that i consider scum benny bussing scum klaze an unlikely world though, and i also consider scum benny pushing town klaze and the results looking like this to be similarly unlikely

so yea i mostly agree but

in general im rarely ever able to completely rule out my paranoia worlds

i mean if im in a bad tunnel and klaze is town im definitely starting to heavily suspect ewiz

i just reread ewiz's posts in this thread (using the 54 posts in topic button) and i could easily see the benny townread just based on wanting to talk about todays pool as being a premature townread (reading town he knows he's town as town because he's going to night kill him or something)

suspecting flop early just because flop wants to talk about yesterdays events also feels off to me, but it could be a difference between how ewiz and i think about town play: to me, town players can easily focus on stuff from previous days even without a clear path to leading to relevant reads for the day because town players just want to talk about everything on their minds. it's not scummy for flop to talk about his reasoning for yesterday because he wanted to form reads from the ensuing discussion.

for me, it's a stretch to say it's scummy. what's the scum motivation?

feels like he's forcing a distinction between flop and benny to call benny town and flop scum

in fact i could see the world where klaze is scum, ewiz is scum who doesn't want to fight a klaze lynch directly, so he posts this to benny:

in this world, ewiz would be trying to make flop the lynch for the day, while still getting cred for sussing klaze if/when klaze ever flips scum.

almost wanna flip ewiz before klaze now

What a reach based on bad metaplay. Talking about yesterday’s audience pool is detrimental because it doesn’t effectively scumhunt and it also gives scum better nk options because they know where more suspicions lie

yes but its a leap of logic to say town always play the way you think town should play optimally and scum always force suboptimal trains of thought

Nice job ignoring my initial reasons for leaning town on Benny too.

you immediately called that scummy from flop rather than considering it possibly bad town play?

even when you have a history of thinking of flop as a bad town player?

i mean nothing about making this read is especially towny for you

in my experience, scum have neat and tidy reasons more often than town, because they’re self conscious of not having good reasons when giving out reads

I did think it was scummy because it’s nonsensical to me. Until flop came back yesterday with his questions and new posts, I kept calling him as scum and 1 of the 2 Lynch choices for today. Keep trying to force false narratives, tho

How is, “this is how Benny plays town” a neat and tidy reason? It’s a gut reaction, only later solidified by klaze’s reactions to the play, which cemented Benny as town and klaze as scum

Until flop came back yesterday with his questions and new posts, I kept calling him as scum and 1 of the 2 Lynch choices for today.

never disputed this part, the part i find scummy is how little consideration you gave to flop possibly being bad/nonsensical town early on

like is this a meta read? does flop tend to make such plays as scum historically? do you not remember him having lines of questioning that weren't that pro-town as town? because i have a vague recollection of games of you being town, him being town, and you hating his lines of questioning but using that fact to read him town

no yea its definitely not scum locking either, just saying it’s not a read + reason that makes me want to read you town for it

Lines of questioning and proposing strategies are two different things. I cleared him off his lines of questioning. Flop was never a proposing strategies player iirc, so it was even more off

Never said it’s a town clear or town tell. Just that it’s not some scummy “neat and tidy reason” like you said it was.

Ror was weird for me, but that’s also cuz no one else even played the game. honestly YNS pissed me off with his bullshit with JDance and im pretty frustrated playing this game right now. No one even played yesterday. There is pretty much nothing to go off of imo.
Let’s start with this: Does anyone actually have any takeaways from yesterday’s performance? All I really saw was Ror looking scummy in a field of everyone else memeing.

would call this a line of questioning more than proposing an overall strategy for how to handle today

but meh semantics

in my mind the only reason your initial reasons for leaning town on benny would be relevant is if you gave them in a towny or scummy way, so i'm explaining how i could easily see it coming from scum (even though its not especially scummy)
