Good catch. q0q15 probably replaced Rose.
That’s interesting. I don’t get why he’d use it, though
it’s a negative utility role in general
like
you wouldnt want to make yourself vulnerable at any point in the game i think lol
(cant think of a situation where using it is pro-mafia)
I stated before the game that these roles should be alignment-neutral to avoid a town/scumclear out of the gate. Kind of a useless role when it reveals you off the bat. Maybe he was under the presumption that the audience pool was randomized and he could slip in seemlessly.
Whenever I see posts like these I imagine whoever typed it - their mafia team-mates - are hitting their heads against their desk. This is always the most transparent attempt of "Do scum have daychat? (haha, if I ask this they'll assume I don't know so I can't be scum!)". You are really really stupid.
It’s a 50% chance. Please re-read the setup.
tangential rant here:
i really expected to roll mafia this game
with people accusing nmagane of being a role rigger, i thought it might be true (though i personally am still inclined to defend nmagane as a player and host)
and i thought i might be targeted as a player who is known to be a game ruiner most recently as mafia (the last game i played on the nadota site, i ruined as mafia by not playing)
so it was a chance for him to expose me
playing town is so much more relaxing for me, so im glad it didnt happen though
i have re-read the setup and see no mention of a 50% chance
The concept is simple. Each day (act) - the player pool is randomly split into two groups: The Performers, and of course, The Audience.
The performers group always includes at least one of the three mafia players, and they get to post in the thread for the day.
The Audience, on the other hand, are not allowed to post in the thread and are only allowed to interact using the reactions system.
The performers cannot vote on who to lynch during the day. After the day ends and before the night phase starts, the Audience are the ones that get to vote on the day’s lynch, in private message to the host.
Once all of the Audience members submit their lynch votes, they are publicly declared in the thread and the player with most votes is lynched. Ties resolved by random flip of course.
During the night, the mafia can only choose to kill someone who was in the performers group the day before.
The next act, a new group of performers-audience is selected and the process repeats.
i did notice, however, that the selection process is supposedly random?
but that seems really unlikely given that theres only 1 repeat performer and 1 repeat audience member
in any case i'm not going to get too into this because it's not very satisfying to win by crutching on mechanics
Not all that convincing.
when i tell the truth, i don’t feel pressure to present it in a way that makes it more convincing or palatable, because if people don’t believe me, i can just blame their faculties of discerning truth rather than my own faculties of being convincing
No. It’s stated nowhere so I’m asking the host to clarify. The day 1 vote pattern has way different implications if scum has daychat.
Nonetheless q0q15 is 100% the lynch today. We’ll deal with Benny next time he’s in the pool.
You're playing dumb. Nmagane clearly said there's night chat only in the very first post.
Alright I am dumb.
No you’re mafia.
wait can you show me the 50% chance thing to show me how im dumb
cries melodramatically about having no audience to catch my performance thus far
also at this point i’d like to say i do think flopagis’s game is scummier than klaze’s thus far, i think the things he said about d1 and the way he justified his thought process seemed more self-conscious and like he wanted to stay within the bounds of consensus
but my overall feeling still is that benny is scummier than either
i certainly don’t agree with how benny seemed to take klaze’s setup question as evidence that klaze was faking that stuff to towntell
