hon was such a good game it also had the most interesting personalities i miss 2009-2013
hon 2009-2011 was godly.
also if we wanna do nadota games of random shit, ratz instagib a super cheap arena shooter been having tons of fun with my brothers over lan in it
i got a 4 pack of it for 2 bucks during sale but idk the price now. but i think the idea of setting up gaming nights for namafia in random games is really cool, we should try and organize something, get something going.

If HoN just stayed around as a copy of old Dota, it would be worthwhile. It would be cool to have something like that to accompany what dota 2 is now.

more and more and more complexity doesn't necessarily improve the game
there's a reason 2016 was the best TI
you know what used to take skill? keeping track of enemy item timings
how the fuck are you meant to keep track of 50,000 different things like which talents they chose, which neutral items they have, etc. it's too many things
that plus flooding the game with gold and making people 6 slotted at 35 mins
if it was stable and could run really nicely at like 200-300 fps on a lot of PCs, had good servers, I think the game would grow organically the same way DotA did back in the day, there was a reason it was so addictive and successful, the barrier to entry was low enough to where it was actually still somewhat fun to play as a new player
i'm intrigued, it goes live on the 11th
Dota heroes are just cool either way so I can enjoy playing both the older style and newer.
At the end of the day I just want to hear the announcer blow smoke up my ass and make my enemies watch a death timer.

HoN stopped being a dota copy pretty quickly from an aggressive new hero release schedule they had for a few years. Still closer than dota 2 I guess
I'm sure I could convince Koda and jiggle Billy to queue hon but I think Imma pass. Amun ra was a mistake and it was all down hill from there. Some early hon heroes were bangers tho, either redjedi or nigma had all L ahh stinkers.
But Dota should have stolen the smackdown mechanic
