at work. 1 hour to my meeting. gonna nail it.
Remember that there is no such thing as the past. You are only ever in the present moment. Donât dwell, youâll become stuck. Move forward. Get on with things. Youâll be happier for it.
the only people ive ever seen type that are people who use faecbook religiously and let entire weeks of theirs get ruined by their favorite basketball team consistenly underperforming
Youâre not a man of culture, I see that now. But thats besides the point. To embrace happiness, one shall not judge others, for himself is not perfect.
how often does ur favorite basketball eam lose jdance and how does it make u feel?
Thoughts?
thatâs ian and his new switch.
There are no winners or losers when Marv Albert is commentating, there are only witnesses. A constant reminder that Alzheimerâs is right around the bend. You wouldnât want to take a shortcut to get around that bend faster would you? Well, we can also apply this to our everyday lives. Shortcuts are convenient, but you always lose something, maybe even a part of yourself.
So how do you justify the presupposition that these parts of yourself have inherent value, and also that the value of the part is greater than the value created by the shortcut?
Well the answer is that there is no such thing as inherent value. Rather, I prefer to look at things anthropologically, that is, with historical context to understand why some behaviors within a culture seem to be âinherentâ.
Hereâs an example. You wouldnât say that Koreans "inherentlyâ eat dogs. You look at the historical context. Our primitive brains needed protein, protein comes from animals, what animals are frequent in the Koreas? Well, the answer is simply that eating dogs for protein was very much a necessity, one of the only choices, for thousands of years. There were no cows! Korea is an island! Nowadays Koreaâs population is much too dense to support livestock. So what we are left with is eating K-9s! Sad right? Not really! You just need to look at the context!
what do you think about anime?
Plenty of agrarian, primarily vegetarian cultures existed all the way up until western industrialization. Our brains have always needed, and gotten protein. The only thing youâd be hard pressed to find in abundance without meat are creatine and B-12. The difference came from nomadic societies, where the efficiency of obtaining and consuming meat took less calories to accomplish, and provided acceptable caloric and macro nutrient intake in return.
i think itâs a necessary evil.
wheres my purple name, pig
You make points! Iâm headed out the door right now to give a TedX Talk Iâve been working on called âWhy debating with destitute weebs on the internet is not always such a great ideaâ.
But I noted your points, and Iâd be glad to have this discussion with you at a future date.
Hey thanks for the recognition regarding the validity of my claims, but Iâm not destitute or a weebaboo. I think the confusion here is coming from you not being aware that I identify as transhuman Hamsterkin.
So hereâs a funny story! My lab assistant (Italian, 13, tight ass) read your most recent message about identifying as some kind of rodent. She said thatâs a phase that her autistic, dog eating half-brother went through as well! Talk about two peas from the same pod!
My phone is dying good bye
