Ugh they keep saying genocide and ethnic cleansing and massacre when tons of civilians in a particular place and of a particular identity are being massively displaced and killed. Don't they know the media isn't showing them yemen!! You don't really care about this. Stop screeching.
im pretty sure Hamas cares about the avg Palestinian far less than Israel does, they just view the place as a martyr factory and a good way to make Israel look bad (which Israel doesn't need any help doing)
you have their leader sitting in Qatar talking about how glad he is that this many people are dying and how great it is for the cause to have all these martyrs. then you have them shooting at the people trying to retreat south, literally needing the IDF to come in and clear them out and make a corridor with tanks. lmao
fuck israel, but fuck hamas more
I can do the same thing right back.
You two also don't give a fuck about the truth but you like looking like the bastions of truth when people are repeating things that sound too much like the headlines. Ugh can't they be original thinkers like us?
yeah dude lets just pretend the issue is black and white for the sake of your argument when we both know it's not
xd
It isn't and nobody here said it was. Nice try though. It is a good strategy to repeat those things, even if when you get in the weeds it might seem hyperbolic.
I think "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing" are heavily implied to be things done to INNOCENT populations.
Lots of people of a particular race die in pretty much every single war, that doesn't make them targeted instances of ethnic cleansing
you can argue they've done that in the past in the west bank, but responding to a violent and dangerous threat on your border who just declared war on you and attacked you isn't the same thing
it's disrespectful to victims of actual genocides to sit here making semantics based arguments that weaken what constitutes a genocide even is in the first place
bro what is even your point or are you just here to cry that you don't like what i'm saying? what's your point
My point is you're wrong. You replied to me.
i replied to you replying to another person, telling that person they're also wrong
Just say it then. Regardless of the word used, you think Gaza deserves what it is getting now. Whatever we call it.
Of course you can't say that, but scroll up and read what you said with that in mind.
I don't agree with every single thing the IDF is doing but I think it's justifiable for them to fight back, sure
saying "you think gazans deserve what they're getting" is about the most emotionally manipulative way of possibly phrasing that but okay
Guys stop being emotionally manipulative!
yours is a direct tactic to win an argument though, not quite the same as a hyperbolic post to make a general point
huber do you think civilians of evil regimes deserve to be held accountable in any way for the actions of their govt? what's your stance on this
I get that people sound cringe when they repeat slogan type shit that's probably hyperbolic but turning around and doing this in response is no better. It's just as easy to question what psychological motive you have for doing it as well.
like you strike me as someone who has digested plenty of content about 'the banality of evil' and how it was that the nazi population sleep walked into war
then you have gaza who voted 55% for hamas, whose constitution unambiguously stated they want to kill every jew on earth, and yet you're like mega sympathetic for them? what gives
it would depend on the action and what involvement they have with the regime. but yeah in some cases I could imagine that. in this case? no they do not deserve to die for supporting Hamas.
okay, how about the people letting their buildings and homes be used to fire rockets out of? how do you feel about them
do you think Nazis also don't deserve to die?
