They will very soon probably. Israel bombed the crossing giving Egypt a reason for closing it while they prepare for a huge amount of refugees.
hamas is an offshoot of muslim brotherhood which the egyptian military is not a big fan of. arab governments have repeatedly proven they don't actually care about palestinians anymore than keeping them as a meat shield for israeli retaliation
also egypt isn't some economic powerhouse that can take in hundreds of thousands of refugees whenever they feel like. people would starve anyway and it would then look bad on the egyptians for failing to provide
