yeah the g2 situation is hilarious because him partying with andrew tate started that whole thing but what got him kicked is that riot (a company with multiple lawsuits for abusing female coworkers with one of them having settled for millions) kicked g2 out of the valorant league
every ninja with a twitter wants to virtue signal about inclusivity but when it comes down to it they'll happily work for companies abusive towards those they're pandering to or taking money from the Saudi government where who they pander to want them with no rights or dead

i get that running these esports venues isn't cheap if you want experienced and competent techs/production/casters/hosts and they can't feasibly make that back with ticket sales but there's gotta be a better, more sustainable way to go about getting the capital for this stuff
