Kyle Rittenhouse NOT GUILTY of all charges

I tried to talk about how hatespeech can lead to violence and oppression, which it can

but hearing the word "oppression" in any context is deeply triggering to yns and alightsoul so they started going OMG SJW TRANS CHILDREN BRAINWASHING LIBERAL MEDIA

very ridiculous

also as alightsoul has pointed out we already have laws against inciting violence and shit

but not hatespeech

News should probably just have the big disclaimer of being opinion media pieces

Leave the hard-core news to cspan

Me: I grew up & live in a liberal bastion, so yes in a sense Fox News has never been as serious to me, more of a joke, doesn't have any reach/impact on people in my life

insom: Are you saying Fox News doesn't have penetration into the US LMAO

insom: no it reached people in your life you just never noticed. not the same

insom: i'm actually very educated & informed, you dumb amerifats

I'm sorry I don't have good enough views to post in this thread guys. I'll leave now. :pensive:

Nope we have laws against hatespeech. Dumb Canadian

jdance I aplogize for not reading your posts I'm currently arguing with someone else

hmm

If you drop a hard R you lose literally everything out here anyways what’s the difference

quite a lot

I guess you’re safe knowing you won’t be thrown in jail but you’ll lose your job, be smeared by news organizations, and socially outcast

I will return to this thread tomorrow

We probably won’t be here

I'll be here patiently waiting for people to interact with me. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Canadian armed with Google & Wikipedia explains how US works

Anyways, my point is not that people should be able to say gamer words without consequence the point is that what gets defined as hate speech out here simply is not hate speech but to legislate against hate speech would solidify positions I disagree with as protected from criticizing because they’re protected from “hate speech”

My point is that I am trying to earnestly learn asouls viewpoints but they're so cryptic I can't

The existing exceptions to the first amendment are effectively a solution to the bailey of the "hate speech" argument

We oppose the motte of the "hate speech" argument
