We should have been locked in our homes by force for 2-3 months while we test the whole population and isolate covid havers.
Far less likely because vaccinated people are far less likely to transmit covid and give it mutation opportunities.
The variant mutating thing seems very misunderstood. There are already countless variants of covid. But they wont survive in populations that are not passing around that variant. The delta variant became widespread and dominant because people were unvaccinated and not distanced or quarantined. They passed it around until it became dominant.
There will always be breakthrough infections and mutations. The vaccine does not give complete immunity to reinfection.
