I think it can be groomed or influenced via traumatic events in childhood. I don’t think that’s every case, it’s just one reason I don’t agree that everyone just “likes what they like”
I mean I suppose we could have the genetic predisposition discussion with regards to those similarly effected and there might be a case for it, I’m unsure.
yeah i was criticizing gays who prey on weaker straight men from a position of power
and what i mean by outing them is i believe predators work from the shadows, you tell them they are gay once you know who they are you know you are straight its kinda like identifying the problem
on that invoker knowing you, knowing me the dismissal of their advances can come much easier once you state firmly you know who they are and how they are preying on you.
I’d say that there can be confusions and traumatic events that lead to predatory behavior and confusion, which might lead someone who is gay to carry a lot of self hatred and do something brash, but I don’t think it has anything to do with your sexual preferences at the core of your self.
I do think someone who is (oftentimes traumatically) reprimanded for normal and natural behavior will be confused as to why they can’t do said normal and natural behavior and end up using negative outlets because they were never presented with the support and consenting adults that could be sexual partners. Some people are never presented with facts to reinforce that human sexual preference is a natural spectrum
Why do you think (sexual)predatory behavior is learned and sexuality is not? Is (sexual)predatory behavior not a “sexual” behavior? Is it therefor not a part of someone’s sexuality, then? What else can be learned?
