stuff that seems rly hard one day might feel a lot more comfortable after 2 days working at it n sleeping to encode it all properly
(2/3)^x = A
(16/81)*A - A = (16/81)*A - (1)A
(16/81)*A - (1)A = (16/81 - 1) * A
Substitute (2/3)^x in for A
Yeah sleeping on a concept helps me way more than trying to hammer it into my brain when I’m exhausted.
Also generally speaking the more you struggle with a concept the higher chance you will acquire and really “get” it. So don’t view it like it’s some deficit on your part
im aware of the process of generating new synapses
i wonder how bad the diminishing return is though
this
another thing i wonder is if you spend all day trying to hammer math into your brain and then swap to an entirely new subject what happens
there are subjects like pchem and linear algebra that are essentially the same thing, it's up to debate or preference whether you prefer learning two things at once or walking into a course having some background. While I don't like chemistry I do feel like physical chemistry teaches linear algebra pretty well, at least, taught me better than the linear algebra courses I took
factoring out i completely understand intuitively
is that not a more difficult thing to factor? why do i understand that
youre just used to factoring single variables and their powers, and less used to factoring expressions involving numbers
anything ^x bothers me
to the point where I will just ln or log everything
on the upside im blazing through my homework now with everything i learned from studying for 28 hours of thelast 48
It seems you have strengths and weaknesses.
We all do.
You are better than me at some things.
the speed at which i do mental math about things i understand is of very high quality
in fact i challenge you to flash cards
I can calculate a 15% tip faster than anyone can pull up the calculator app on their phone.
Just something I am good at.
i just round up in my favor
Yeah I usually just do 20% myself.
Lots of friends who worked for tips.
i have filled an entire notebook in 2 days
