Well, it's not me since I can't figure out how to make GY chat public.
You can just add whoever's left to it
Another thing I forgot to discuss
While it is kind of game-ruining to flip him there, i believe as host you have to flip "faked" role pms like the one faz did
When you don't, it becomes this weird mind-gamey playing-off-the-host thing which I felt was super uncomfortable and just generally crossed into the realm of angleshooting
Obviously a delicate situation and ended up ok but just for future hosts in that situation we should probably have a consensus
I think roragok has zeused in exactly that situation in the past but feel free to correct
Also I believe the vt self zeus strategy I posted d1 is actually correct
Yeah I think posting anything that looks like a role pm should not be allowed. For example, If I posted a fake scum role pm and didn't get Zeused, then I could be confirmed town.
I avoided the problem in my games by posting the role pm's in the starting post.
i agree.
posting your role pm should result in something too but i doubt those people even care.
i think anything out of game shouldnt be in the game at all
i also don't like liking in mafia games because it creates this sort of meta read off of that.
especially faz liking posts after he died that said friend was town
I'd like to say that I wasn't deliberately avoiding towntelling. I'm just bad at it
I forgot to say that I think Bazingaboy had the best reads for only being alive 1 day.
This is a gray area but ultimately the host of a mafia game is trying to create a fun experience kind of like a Dungeon Master -- so it's up to them. Town ended up winning so I think I made the right choice but I'll let the other Dungeon Masters decide their own course of action.
My obvious internal dilemma was knowing that it couldn't possibly be his role pm so pretended it was fake -- but at the same time I ended up zeusing slowdive for a faked pm. Unfortunately zeusing a scum is always going to have a negative impact on the game, so I really didn't want to.
I realized later that my night 2 kill was an unlucky choice.
I could have killed gwez to eliminate a confirmed town. But I thought mafia might kill him and I would waste my kill.
I also could have killed rora, but I figured nyte would protect him, and I didn't go for the double-tap because I feared mafia would kill gwez instead.
If I chose to kill gwez, there would've been one less confirmed town.
If I chose to kill rora, there would've been one less confirmed town and the cop would've died.
Live and learn.
I don’t think it happened that way.
From Game of Thrones
Me: "There are always lessons in failures."
Her: "Yes. You must be very wise by now."
