I finally watched V for Vendetta, never wanted to see it because of the cringey fansbase and appropriation, but my god that movie was fucking awesome

I thought I would hate it but it was great

it looked like one of those movies that tries to do too many things and succeeds at none of them but it was the opposite, it succeeds at everything it tries to do

exciting when it wants to be, touching, romantic, thought provoking, important message, great cinematography, great dialogue, great music, humanist message

everything

I thought it sucked bony ass

why?

edgy governmental conspirational bullthist

that seems awfully reductive but you’re entitled to your opinion

do you feel the same way about 1984? (the book not the movie)

good book made me horny

Heist was okay, brainless watch.

Yeah pretty much agree with both your posts, Heist is brainless but also fun

The VIP scenes were super fucking awful but the rest of squid game was pretty well done

I love how there’s an unwritten rule that whenever something, usually a bullet, is pulled out of someone it MUST be dropped into a metal dish (which is always conveniently sitting there even if that makes no sense) and you MUST hear a little metallic ping as it lands

in every movie/tv show ever, no matter what,
no exceptions

lol

I enjoyed first few episodes a lot more than the later ones, it felt like it was dragging a little too much towards the end. Maybe because it was too obvious what was going to happen.

Agreed. I also thought the whole cop story line was dumb.

I enjoyed it all. Vip scenes included

the more I think about it the less I like the show, I went from recommending people to watch it while being at the end of 3rd episode, to probably stop recommending it now lol

@insom I picked up Das Boot: Director’s Cut on Netflix.

The "More like Das Boot" picks were interesting.

French Connection
Bridge on the river kwai
Deer hunter
The great escape
Deliverance (?)

check out ‘The Wolf’s Call’ , it’s like a modern take on The Hunt For Red October

I really enjoyed it

The reviews for Dune are very good.
But I refuse to pay for HBOMAX, and my gf still won't go to a crowded theatre.
