i liked ladybird but i can see the criticism of dunkirk

Lala land was good

Lala land was great other than the fact that none of the leads could sing or dance very well.

Can someone give me a rundown of how Dunkirk “sucked”

because you want to disagree or because you actually havent watched it and are considering it?

cuz i dont wanna do it if its for the first reason

I haven’t seen it

Don't answer that @iaafr. She's lying and is just trying to bait you into an argument.

I've seen her do it a million times.

it's really slow and boring and there are no strong characters

I feel like the main appeal is pretty cinematography and being visually pleasing or something

haven't read reviews to see what critics considered good about it but I was just bored out of my mind

So you’re saying the actual story wasn’t compelling at all??

not to me it wasn't

Can you give me a quick plot summary

i actually just flipped to the wikipedia just now to try to refresh myself and i feel like none of it sunk in because i just didnt care

really could be a me problem, didnt realize it had 92% on rottentomatoes n shit

am open to you watching it to spite me and coming back and admonishing me for my lack of taste

I liked dunkirk but agree that it felt sterile.

Shoplifters was one of my favorite movies recently.

I mean the reason it’s a movie is because it was a particularly harrowing circumstance of war

Hacksaw ridge is like the other side of the same coin which I haven’t seen but that’s obviously critically acclaimed and such

Hacksaw ridge is the better traditional movie more personal character development
Dunkirk was more about all the stories that can be found in a larger than life conflict

Rocket man was not good. Got convinced to go yesterday.

Watching the new Amazon prime movie and loving it.
