jdance really went in on ■■■ because you can't see who reacted
i've played organized team CS when I took a break from dota
i even got 2nd place at a local lan that had 8 teams full of ESEA premier players and main players lolz
it's much easier to replicate "real" team cs than real team dota imo
well aside from having great aim there's really just how good you are at communicating, what nades you throw, how good you are at communicating how you can help midround, knowing to ask for flashes on tough angles, things like that. but if you play in good enough pugs EVERY player knows this and does this, you play in high mmr dota pubs and it feels like a zoo in comparison
i used to love igling. i made videos for my executes for my teammates that showed what I wanted each one of them to be doing for the entire round, where I wanted them aiming and everything. so each execute had four youtube videos made (one showing the pov of each player and what I wanted them doing)
it was very fun. we had a neat little strat on cache where we smoked off Z and highway then flashsed through the Z smoke and wrapped on B. I've never seen another team doing this before or since, and it won us a lot of rounds. shit like that.
in dota roles at least used to be so far apart in what you had to do around the map especially early on that people who rose high in rank just spamming one hero didn't really understand the strengths and limitations of their comrades. compounded by the fact that dota is great at producing a feeling of helplessness as you watch the game being lost sometimes out of your own control and knowing it will only get harder to comeback which leads people to tilt/give up. cs you can always bounce back on your next buy round or half and start playing better so people seem to have an easier time keeping their head in the game
yeah exactly. i forgot to even mention roles, hero pool limits, etc. that's a huge part of it too. also the ability that you can always contribute next round indeed helps me to focus on next round instead of being angry at X guy or thing
and that's the single biggest thing I find unenjoyable about dota pubs, this right here
i honestly kind of enjoyed playing from behind a little bit. i find it made me focus more on optimal positioning/play although obviously if you get beaten up too bad it will get to anyone
everyone's got a limit though and you could really tell when someone was grinding ranked matches all day and getting chewed up just loses it at the smallest things in the laning phase
just so you guys know i'm not full of shit.
do these links work or do I need to change the video settings?
if it's part of playlist you have to unlink that part
these are just the overview vids, I would also make one for each player because I found people not knowing where to be aiming at at certain points in the rounds lead to sooo many stupid deaths on execute rounds. so I took it a step further and told them not just where to nade but where to be basically aiming at in the whole leadup to the execute. idk. i'm gay.
masterful
vanilla town has really good dota strategies but they're all ad hoc or on a need to know basis
i call this one the peepoo strat
runs down banana and instantly dies
