I feel like the main benefit of working different places / main benefit of improving workplace is actually working around better people
When I worked in a bakery it was a good life and satisfying hard work but the main downside was the people who were almost universally insane, troublemakers, cheaters, immature etc
By moving into professional environment now I'm around (mostly) professionals, people who have their lives together
The work doesn't really change, I could've stayed in that other environment for years if it was just the work. It's the colleagues that change and as a result life improves (or I guess deteriorates if you prefer having sex with 14 girls with mental issues per year)
