I just think that makes sense for someone who hasn’t trained their “forced happy thought” muscle. You can’t expend as much force as someone who spends a while at the gym every day. And you don’t have to get buff. But it does feel good to do the opposite of atrophying in that regard.
When the doc prescribes an antidepressant and aims for you to quit it one day, it’s expected that you’ll have more generally positive thoughts when youre done. Atleast implied that between the beginning and end, you’ll have become more arbitrarily positive. I imagine that’d also manifest in your online behaviors. Just something I’ve experienced as someone who used to do nothing but hate. Takes effort from me too. Was soo hard to think this stupid at the beginning.
