No Setup Mafia #1

Hahahahaha!

Does that matter? We have a game to solve/break!

Hahahahahahaha. Letā€™s break the game @big_ass - Shall we? Letā€™s break the game ahhahahahaha

Iā€™m on TS with them but Iā€™m not Goy Club

break me daddy

  • the game

Quick change on one interaction. Should multiple players choose the ā€œGladiatorā€ night-action, it will no longer result in a failure for any player. Instead, players will have the option to lynch between all the dueled players.

This is primarily why I suspect Wintermute (in addition to playstyle resembling first mafia game). Why would you say this and then continue to do the opposite and just accuse nma/benny all game?

Because he realized that itā€™s impossible to ā€œpuzzle out the gameā€ without it being too obvious that heā€™s setting up a loss for town

My thinking that with this setup (or lack thereof) we should just come up with a plan and execute it, even if it fails. The only thing town can do is collaborate.

No - town has to do it individually

With all of the possible redirection, Iā€™d be hesitant to go with that. But I suppose it can be used both ways. My fear is that if no one says what they are doing we have less ability to reason through what actually happened the following day.

We can make plans, but we canā€™t actually say, ā€œI will do x, this person will do y.ā€ etc.
Scum can counter that easily.

Still thinking. Will post some ideas soon.

That is true, but my thinking is that we can overwhelm them - and itā€™s possible it will still fail. But how is it more likely to succeed if we just do independent actions? Iā€™m not saying everyone needs to follow along, but most should I think.

The overwhelm thing is something I am thinking about. 10 of us, 3 of them. We could have 5 or more people spam the same thing so they canā€™t counter all of us.

Itā€™s 9 vs 3.

I think what scum will attempt to do is make it look like something happened that really didnā€™t - such as a scum dying and flipping town and then coming back the next day (magician - jung archetype also). They also have ways of preventing lynches. Seems like D2 is going to be difficult.

I do have a plan. I just find it hard to talk about with these goy clubs jumping down my throat.

1 person takes switch and disables switch. But we canā€™t say who that person is.

Rest of town takes a random assortment of active investigative roles. Active investigative roles are roles that produce an immediate and actionable result for town.

We canā€™t choose a specific investigative role because they can pick the specific counter.

We canā€™t say specifically which town is targetting which player (for example, everybody target the guy below you on the player list) because they can just roleblock the person they need to block.

All town enter in the morning and report 1) the role they chose and 2) their result and we sort out the actions that make sense and donā€™t make sense.

Should be obvious pretty quickly which players are lying and which are not. Just make sure you enter with your result right away in the morning and donā€™t fall for diversions/big arguments like the ones Nma has been conjuring up.

Basically their best chance at disrupting this is to either convince all of you not to do it (like theyā€™ve been trying today) or to start a big argument tomorrow morning so a lot of people donā€™t claim and itā€™s not as clear who did an action and who didnā€™t.

What does this mean

Too many flaws in this plan to list them all. Obvious tryhard attempt to seem town.

Donā€™t read or respond to any post that tries to convince you not to follow the plan

If anyone has serious concerns you can lay them out and propose solutions

ā€œToo many flawsā€ without listing flaws or suggesting a productive solution isnā€™t a constructive post, itā€™s a diversion attempt
