My uncle was a navy submariner, used to just get drunk and rant about aliens being real and to never go to south Korea. Unsure if those two were related but it feels relevant somehow.

there is actually lore that they have a crashed ship that couldn’t be moved so they built a base around it - in south korea.
there’s a couple different lore claims about this, but one such crash site is supposed to be multiple football stadiums worth. there’s a lot of controversy over whether that’s the south korean site or not. (between the investigative folk and the recorded and spoken claims)

Well the interesting thing is that he may have experienced something within his duties that was ancillary or whatever, but not something he would necessarily have been informed on or something like that. That’s what I would wager, myself.
