EPULZE Statement -

In the Epulze Global Dota 2 League Season 2 qualifiers for North America, the player “pingu” intentionally entered both the First and Second Open Qualifier under different teams using different accounts. The First Open Qualifier with team ‘Doze Reborn’ was deemed to be a legitimate signup using their main account, while the Second Open Qualifier with team ‘Plasma1337x’ was a backup (“smurf”) account.

Tournament rules and Epulze ToS prohibit players creating more than one Epulze account as well as prohibit players playing on two teams at the same time. The players and teams have been upfront and cooperative with this rules violation. As such, the following rulings have been given:

Player “pingu” is given a 1 (one) season ban for the Epulze Global Dota 2 League. They may not participate as a stand-in for Season 2. This does not affect other Epulze tournaments.

Team “Plasma1337x” is disqualified from Epulze Global Dota 2 League Season 2. Remaining players may participate as a stand-in during this season. This does not affect other Epulze tournaments.
