People like you are the reason this entire country is going down the drain, you don’t engage in any discourse with people you disagree with or try to understand the other side or make a case for yours, and all you can do is hurl insults and create hostility. There is something wrong with you and you should fix it.
If you are like in your early 20s or lower, then I can understand this behavior like why I see it from some of the others here, but I believe you’re a much older person and should know how to behave and talk like an adult at this point in your life.

This is the exact sentiment I have toward people on the forum who contribute the bare-minimum toward any meta-discussion about the forum's fading importance.

I will continue to post about politics in the politics thread and listen to what other people have to say meanwhile I will put others who have nothing useful to contribute but vitriol on my ignore list as I feel like I've exercised enough patience with trying to listen for any talking points. Insulting people and trying to shut down the conversation because you don't like it is really a total waste of time, save yourself the effort and put me on ignore as well because the way you described me sounds very much like how I view you at this time.

There's a separate thread for that, I don't know if you're referring to me here but I've given my feedback and ideas about it, I also am in disagreement about the fading importance aspect you're talking about. At what point do you think this website was at its peak? Immediately after the shutdown or nadota?
There was certainly a lot more activity in the past in terms of mafia, but giving people a platform to just scream down other people calling them r3tards, morons, f4ggots, n1ggers, when they don't agree with someone and repeating their s behavior like a broken record eventually pushed people away naturally because just like in real life people realize they don't need to put up with that kind of treatment. Even if you don't like something a person says you can still act civil and discuss it but if you're looking for an echo chamber to live in, then this is essentially what namafia.com has slowly evolved into. You can't have it both ways. You can't have a vibrant and active community while allowing a few toxic individuals to roam around freely berating and attacking other contributors personally insulting their existence and lives, mocking ideas and attempts at authentic conversation the moment they move into an area you're not comfortable with.
You want a welcoming community for newcomers you need to foster such a community and do what is necessary to nurture it into growing by pruning and treating issues.
The whole concept of a 'separate thread' was never founded on logic that held up outside of the flawed and emotional pretense in which it was first propositioned. And for the record, I wasn't talking about you, I was taling about Insom.
At what point was the website at its peak? Given that this was effectively a digital colony after the collapse of the Nadota empire, I'd argue that around 2015 was the crux of our influence. We had a culture that was well-renowned across the online forum sphere and constantly drew in new users. I disagree with your assessment that this forum is nothing but people flaming or conjuring slurs, for the record. Maybe the threads in which you spend your time in are defined by this behavior and your people have done well to gentrify the more philsophical and meta-threads with this behavior, but the bulk of our users cannot relate to it. I am pushing for the exact type of civil discourse which you are lamenting in the above post.
And I agree about toxic individuals. I think their time is up and I welcome the return of a strong-arm authoritarian system like in the old days under Spitwad.
That being said, some of these users are important to keep personalities sharp and well-rounded, to prevent specific people's egos from getting out of line. I don't need to name names; you can guess the types I am referring to.
It would also be disingenous to completely downplay what these users have contributed to the forum. Through almost a decade of sharing ideas and talking with one another, we have all rubbed off on one another and I'd suggest that this form of 'hatred' is very transparently fake and just a weird cultural way for users to show appreciate toward one another. I don't think any user on this site hates another user.
The last line of your post refers to an imaginary strawman of my proposed idealistic viewpoint for this site. My main objective right now is the rapid expansion of the userbase no matter what cost it may have on the current forum 'culture', if you can even call it that. Once we have attracted new members, we can cherrypick certain people to join the new administrative team who won't fall for the usual sycophantic tricks of the existing users here and we can start shaping the place up until it resembles MafiaUniverse.com where any incessant flaming or hatred is punished with a permanent ban.
On the topic, MafiaUniverse.com have a cool animated bat decal that flies around the screen for October, see for yourself. How come we don't run stuff like that?
There's been numerous times I've taken a break from this site because of a few people who I don't like to interact with but I keep that to myself generally because I know those same people would basically relish in the idea that they did something to affect me emotionally or mentally like the bullies I have dealt with in the past.
It is my own decision to come to this forum to interact with the few people I still do enjoy speaking with, but over time I have slowly seen less and less people whom I respect in the community coming to post here while having to defend myself against nothing burgers, trying to expand on my points which only garner personal insults about my supposed value as a human being and intelligence because of my viewpoints, I honestly have not seen or dealt with such childish behavior in ages.
Overall I have also noticed some days my own behavior becoming more negative in real life because of this normalizing I am doing exposing myself to some of the people here and it bothers me enough to the point that I asked Dan to ban me from the website for a year so I can force myself into a hiatus, the toxic behavior and viewpoints leak, if you expose yourself to it constantly.
I am pretty sure other people had similar thoughts and had better self control to just cut things they didn't like out of their lives. I am not suggesting you ban people from the website to make the community more welcoming but making changes to the moderation like muting people who are toxic or putting post limits on them, and unmodding people who legitimately relish at creating hostile environments and mocking other users like @LuckyArtist would be my serious suggestion, but again I know I'm not a ‘popular’ person here. I have been called numerous insults about the kind of person I am which I can decide whether or not it's true, but in my own life when I am dealing with serious issues or down turns, it's these type of thoughts or words I can do without that a lot of people probably feel the so they chose to leave and let the bullies have their playground to themselves, like oh the forum feels so empty now that I don't have people to attack anymore let's find some more recruits.

For example I think @big_ass was probably one of the most rational and well spoken people here but the staff and community decided they didn't like him for his political viewpoints and unmodded and essentially banned him, but you guys are like why can't we find new members or keep people when all we do is allow screaming turds of human beings to take the stand and scream down people who challenge their viewpoints in general forums or mafia?
