tbf both 8v4 and 7v4 are pretty unusual scum ratios, but I guess it makes the setup balanced
i think that with the vengeful maf and the free poe shot it gives to town the actual setup we're playing is 9v4 in terms of mistakes town can make but i dont wanna talk about it cuz it might come off as disparaging to the host
think your interpretation is off because shooting the vengeful still takes away a misshot
or rather doesn't change number of misshots as opposed to shooting regular scum which gives u one more misshot
