Perhaps my reputation has grown too large and they are fearful to confront a being they know to be of such pure evil; that, in gazing into the light, they may be blinded - or that their analysis would be returned with an equal but opposite analysis of their own character, the exposition of which they fear for greatly at the hands of such an evil, yet perceptive, beast.
