request: nmagane's take on mental illness

Why?

Dead stay dead

At least everyone I ever loved has the respect to stay dead

But noooo not these guys

I have had friends over the years be diagnosed/treated for it and, while I shared similar symptoms in my life, I never thought my sleep was a problem on that level(ceasing to breathe)
However, I’ve always had issues with my sleep patterns and my experiences with dreams/night terrors/sleep paralysis; it always felt like there was some bigger problem at play, yet I never really found people I could relate to on the matter.
When I was young I had some periods of time that I was simply unable to function in the mornings, and it invariably spun out in the massive derailment of my “normal” life (mostly school-oriented)

When my sleep paralysis episodes came a little bit more frequently over the last couple of years I started trying to dig around for information on it and what it was often linked to. That is when I started revisiting sleep apnea and I began to talk with my friends more about it etc. There are a lot of other factors that contribute but I don’t feel like dumping it all here.

Mental illness is a scam invented by jewish doctors just like transexualism

They didn’t invent it; they discovered it

I ask because my own sleep is troubled.

They can’t discover something that isn’t real

my family is all thin but still has sleep apnea

(((they)))

Unlikely. They’re probably just faking it.

Yes that’s part of why no one really took me seriously. Turns out central sleep apnea is much less understood or diagnosed.

Last night I dreamed I watched some guy murder his wife. For some reason i could not just call the police, have them investigate, arrest him etc. He beat her head in with a dumbbell. Then i had to live with him and pretend i wasn’t horrified and looking for a way to escape. Forget how it ended but i think i woke up and was like “fuck why not just call the police”

Dream me is NOT optimal like waking me is

You can’t really fake it- The depressive symptoms ended near immediately after going on CPAP. CPAP machines aren’t comfortable to sleep in, either.

Click the reply thing on that post it was a reply to something else

I don’t think CPAP machine intervention works on people w/o apnea. It would be really disruptive

I probably have sleep apnea, my snoring is louder than my dryer clonking around according to my roommates

You guys posted 200 replies to nmagane after this post

I hope you realize that
