At the end of the day I am not town clearing people any more for playing "too bad to be scum." If someone is anti-town, they are out. This puts us in a better position in the lylo and is the reason we were able to pass 2 lylos this game and still win it.
Agreed with this. I was saying it all game. Magic, aside from the vote on day 3, basically looked more town all game than me/yns/most of the town. Even ian looked kinda sus with his goofing off.
The reason I didn't just tunnel magic on day 3 when he was mechanically scum is that my priority at that point is not to "identify scum," it's to towntell to my other towns (mainly matticus). If i look like scum while the lynch is on me or if I create a thunderdome situation, any town could place a vote on me and we could lose. Also, the longer he left the vote on, the more clear it became to the others that he was scum.
We made it out of that one alive so I think it was a pretty good play.
while i think sophie did a better job as mafia this time around, i think magic did most of the work. that being said i don’t really think anyone has much ground to stand on in this town
the poll is funny because it was an accurate reflection of the veto
Why were you so insistent it wasn't exactly what it was (an accurate reflection of who people thought was a top town player that mafia would want to kill)

Still, I look at this end of day vote and wonder whether what we do here can be considered Mafia at all. It’s more like we’re all role playing as ourselves. I thought that was just me and Nyte, and that it was a scumtell, but it’s just current reality.
let me try saying this a different way: the poll is funny because it completely exposed the mafia, but the grudge voting is so strong, it can’t help but paint people as scummy
