I found out interestingly enough that a large percentage of people who play mafia online have some personal/mental/physical issues.

Asoul is right that stove’s argument makes no sense. However, I agree night chats should be shared. I just don’t have a good argument justifying that. Maybe because everyone gets to see your town play and reasoning as town, the same should be true for scum?

I see no reason we shouldn’t share night chat anymore than sharing graveyard with people who haven’t died once the game is over.
Like, if this was actually competitive, I could understand but everyone here is playing casually.
I think competitive strengthens the argument to share. We should strive for the most knowledge, as that breeds better play

Maybe it would be a good thing for people to act differently in scum chat. Who knows.
But you do need to establish the convention up front and not post somebody’s private chat without their foreknowledge
It has to be shared as the scum partners would have extra information about their partners in the following games that others don’t have.
I think establishing a convention of sharing makes sense in this context especially if the chats are private threads on the site
Make a public Archive subforum and move all the threads in there after game completion
