Yep it's very much the case that these places are inhabited by people that aren't over their own relationship issues and end up injecting that in the advice they give. The recent post with multiple updates about the girlfriend in Miami seemed to be written by a fairly paranoid, controlling person and people took the OP at face value and really fed the fires of his negativity. Not saying it wasn't a shit situation but I think seeking advice or even reading here regularly could be really inadvisable.

if we're going to establish that this is all some manipulation scheme it's obvious the most I can do is tell her "im going to beat your face in with a wrench until it gurgles with like a drinking fountain"
