4/20 lol
Also sad.
Lived in Detroit. Can confirm.
mehmed and his engineers building a log road to roll galleys over land past the boom chain is one of the greatest dabs in history
yeah that was sick as fuck
also the giant cannon was pretty badass even though it exploded shortly after being used
greece vs turkey sentiment is kind of weird. yea the seljuks and later ottomans we're rivals of the romans but constantinople first fell in 1204 to the 4th crusade and wasn't reclaimed by the warring successor states until like 200 years later, by that point the empire was done
where do you rate Caesar at Alesia in terms
of historical dabs
huge balls maintaining a siege while outnumbered by the relieving army, not to mention the level of charisma and inspiration he had with his men to have them believe in him. that said he wasn't a brilliant tactician nor was he fighting a well equipped or cohesive enemy even if the gauls we're very motivated. keeping vercingetorix alive only to strangle him to death in a parade years later is a weird flex but i can see it 8/10 dabs
i bumped it up by 1 dab to 8 for the audacity to just build miles worth of fortifications. no other army could ever have come close
Iβm an Augustus fanboy but yeah I think what Caesar did at Alesia was one of the most insanely badass things ever
Totally fearless
You ever considered getting a history degree?
