But the thing about the midwest is, if you aren't within 30 minutes of a city you're in the middle of nowhere.
You can go from urban sprawl to complete cornfields and double laned highways in half an hour, there's a lot of contrast

Jokes aside the CAC tour is the best in the world and our museums are ok atleat but man if i dont hate the logistics of Chicago Living. Like every part that isnt the food or people
idk i like living in michigan for the most part. it has it's downsides no doubt but i definitely prefer it over city living
id be open to living in sault ste marie or traverse city or even the quad cities but i would probably not live in detroit out of fear of having to buy real estate in Oakland

i got pretty fortunate with my living situation in rochester and probably wouldn't live here if i didn't come by it so conveniently. luckily it worked out for everyone involved and i have space to rent cheaply to my friends and property value going brrrrrrr.
