if we’re talking about bed ridden morbidly obese people I’d agree with you, fasting can work for them. but if we’re talking about reasonable overweight or even low end of obese, but otherwise normal and functional people I think calorie restriction + protein + cardio is the way to go, carbs are fine as long you you eat the appropriate ones in appropriate meals.
