well since they have 2 coins tops now they shouldn't claim until they get a check after n2 and corroborate with the past 2 night's targets. could find someone who has too many coins to be town

they could also just die tonight but i dont think claiming to clear 2/6 pool feels as good with only 1 confirmed town who would die n2
i suppose waiting a night is good but if multiple people target then they could expire overnight...
even if they have 2 coins (max they can have rn since mint died day 1) scum can kill them tonight and they don't get a viable check. the day 1 claim plan was predicated on collector being minted so they could survive at least one all night attack by scum

the collector no doubt has some information and the best way to help town is by providing information to town that may not be direct but can be directly obvious after night in the event that they are randomly correctly targeted by scum, as well as incorrectly targeted by town
they have no information yet, their night 1 check would reveal 2 coins on any player they targeted as vanilla_town explained yesterday midday
