Short term day to day volatility is part of trading. Markets don't move in a straight line. Statistically you cannot find many days where mroe than 3% down happen in a row therefore betting on a green day is statistically in your favor. This is not a black swan event, it's people overreacting to a dumbass saying dumbass shit.

It can easily be reversed. This isn't like blowing up a bridge, it's literally like checking a box with a mouse click, some dumbass pushed a button that he doesn't understand and his ego is preventing the button from being unpushed but the point is that's all the effort it would take to undo this, unlike rebuilding a blown up bridge.
