Rwanda is actually one of the best success stories in Africa atm

it is not like it was in the 90s

Good even better let’s get him there asap

You aren't too bright. Race science is a shining star of truth, and even if discussion of it presents a social impasse, it's of vital importance that it is written about at this very moment -- the internet (likely the summation of all text up to the next few years) will serve as the corpus to birth the AGI God, and thus we must speak now so it can know later.

You see, you all speak about race science (whether for or against) because of some social signal, because it identifies you politically, etc. I do it to whisper words of truth into the ear of an eventual Machina God.

Social signals? Whats your research output dude

There are no racists left in America. Trump's supporters now are the liberals of 25 years ago. They want lower prices, less war, and a candidate who speaks to them with compassion rather than lecturing with derision and putting a bunch of celebrities on stage.

Jones is the last true American racist. A dying breed.

I hope you get those things bud, i wouldn't like bet on it but at a minimum you can upset insom which was probably the goal. I wish I could be optimistic for my palestinian friends but although neither party was ideal I feel fairly confident this was the worse outcome for them. Would be cool if President Elect Trump broke the streak of every republican led white house in the last century has seen a recession. To be fair I can't even blame Trump for inflation as that was more a global post-covid issue. Biden admin to their credit managed to get it under control and back to acceptable rates...

Though it's obviously more nuanced than can be expanded upon in my current state (sleep deprivation) without even getting into the proposed tariffs increase on the price of goods I find it hard to see a benefit for the vast majority of his base.

TLDR: I'm responding to bait set for insom in earnest out of boredom cause I found some of this stuff interesting. Don't expect anyone else to read through it and because none of us are well versed in economics nor foreign policy... surface level and misunderstanding is about the best any of us will muster. Wcyd, as with 8 years ago ofcourse "I hope" things go well, I'd argue they didn't then unlikely they will this go. If i'm wrong then its net positive for the country and worth giving credit for.

Damn bro nice high effort post

I will say I agree it's misguided to vote for Trump thinking he will solve all the issues of the last admin, but really the point is that people were strongly voting against Kamala rather than for Trump

And that by listening to what they say, you can understand that the world is not full of evil people like these overly-online canadians and msnbc watchers would have you believe - these are real people with real issues and they are not happy with the current administration. Whether or not Trump resolves any of those issues remains to be seen (not going to pretend he is an economic genius or is actually aligned on any of these foreign policy issues) but I think a lot of people are just relieved to have the last administration out.

voting trump because of gaza wouldnt make you a 'liberal 25 years ago' just braindead

also 'no racists in america' lmao ?? ok bud

honestly i dont care anymore

the "why" is not important, nor can we really know better until at least 5 years

nothing more to gain for me in thinking aboyt it

i mean you keep linking me tweets and articles and i appreciate that you wanna talk politics but im just burnt out atm on it

Appreciate the mature new leaf but

missed the point. Voting against Kamala because of Gaza would make you a median ethnic voter and understanding this is essential to understanding the world as it is. And the reason I joke about this perspective being illiberal is this is the working class ethnic population you are calling braindead here. It's very out of touch with what people are actually feeling.

Totally understood and appreciate it bro I think it's good to have a break from politics. Election's over we can move on with our lives

trunp is decidedly more pro israel, his cabinet will also probably be full of israel lifers in terms of support

thats how i see it anyway

I'm not arguing against any of that, I see who he's appointing

I'm just explaining the attitude of the people who voted against Kamala (not For Trump - they are not necessarily fans of Trump. The general feeling is "I'm happy that maybe something can change."

Truth is you're absolutely fucked in this two-party system if you care about Gaza. Under Biden there's an all-out unapologetic genocide and Kamala says she wouldn't change anything. Under Trump you have appointments of strongly pro-Israel foreign policy people. At least under Trump the media might say "Look at this horrible shit that's happening" and under Trump there will be less gaslighting about this actually being the moral position.

The offer was: Vote for the people that are currently murdering your brothers and sisters so that we don't appoint somebody who might be (probably is) in support of murdering your brothers and sisters.

I actually think this Palestine thing might be the BLM of the second Trump presidency. Under Trump people are actually willing to protest when something's wrong. Like with systemic racism, the genocide issue has been simmering under the surface and with the right little poke it might actually boil over

What we're seeing is not a pro-Trump White Supremacist Surge but a backlash against the horrible effects of the progressive-in-name-only policies of the past 4 years

This backlash is largely fueled not by white/misinformed Americans but by actual ethnic/working-class people on the ground who see their quality of life noticeably deteriorating. And the DNC's and news media's failure to see that has lost them a lot of faith among the voting population
